[Eyeing Yamato's actions curiously, Horikawa doesn't move to stop Yamato from stealing the ice cream from him. He winds up being a little confused as to whether that was the right decision or not after seeing Yamato's solution, but it is very.... Yamato, isn't it? The smile in his face looks more than a little sheepish, though he does steal the spoon back for a moment to take a taste, seeming to approve of it after all.]
I guess that's one way to fix things ー but I think it was "Valentine's Day", Yasukun. [NOT THAT HE KNOWS MUCH BEYOND THAT... Something about gifts for the people you like? Yeah, that sounds right.] Mm, not much though. It seems like it's an imported holiday, people give chocolate to the ones that they like?
It sounds nice, doesn't it? I wonder how it goes for people who like everyone, how much chocolate they have to make. [ As he holds up the bowl in his claws, for the moment he can be the table that holds the object. When Horikawa finally has a taste of it, Yamato feels at ease and is happy that it had been satisfying. He wouldn't know how to recover if the two sweets didn't mix but luckily for him, it all works out. ]
It must be a holiday within this day and age since we've never heard of it until now, it's also upsetting at the same time. How nice it could have been for the entire citadel back home to relish in this sort of holiday. [ Lowering the bowl just a bit as he looks inside, he gives a sigh of content. ]
At least we have a chance at it, to learn and act on what's to come. So I'm glad that I get to spend time with you during these holidays. I hope that'll always be alright with you? [ ... ] ... Kunihiro.
[ There's a pause as he looks up from the desert and smiles to him. ] If that'll be.. [ He's only making sure. He's not afraid but as he searched for confirmation. ] okay?
It seems like a lot of work. It's nice though... [He pauses for a moment to think over the comment on the citadel, but overall, he can't manage up anything but a slightly regretful smile in return. It would be nice, it's true, but it's also difficult - for now, he's just as happy to learn of it with just the small household they have here, along with their masters. Even so, he means the next words:] It may not be back home, but maybe next time, we can try? Mikleo-kun is a good cook anyway, it seemed like he was preparing chocolates anyway.
[Not that he'd mind trying to learn today, but anyway!! His eyes widen slightly at the use of Kunihiro of all names; he can only remember ever being called that by Kanesan, and that was only natural ー they're a matched set after all, but Horikawa doesn't make any mention to stop it. He takes an instant to look at Yamato with an expression that doubtlessly conveys his surprise, but ultimately, he nods.]
It will be. [A reassuring grin.] Let's spend a lot more together alright, Yasukun?
[ With his claws placed together and twiddling his thumbs in a sense under the bowl, maybe he's just a slight bit worried over the name he's used. Of course, everyone within the citadel speak to Yamato with such familiarity and even now, he doesn't move from out their full because he finds that to be polite. So as Horikawa begins to speak about the chocolate that Mikleo has been making for them, he's yet to look up since the bowl of ice cream has part of his attention but with confirmation ー there's a smile stretched upon his lips.
Not trying to show any worry or even any concern that he had been bracing him for the "are you stupid" or "no way" ー ( when you live and have kashuu as your partner, one does ready themselves for a firm and quick "no" ) ー he's glad to hear the response. ]
Of course, yes, he probably is and well accustomed to this holiday more than us so it's understandable. [ It sounds nice but what he's more happy about are the other words as he looks up at him. ] Yes, that sounds nice, really, it does. But.. you should take another bite of this or there won't be anything else left.
[ Since Yamato is thinking about digging into it. ]
[It's kind of endearing the way that Yamato seems to fiddle with the bowl, looking a bit restless and nervous all at once. A part of Horikawa is tempted to ask if he's alright, but he supposes that if it's Yamato, maybe referring to him so casually would be a much more difficult hurdle to leap than it is for himself. (The thought makes his cheeks a bit warm, that he'd be the one to bypass that formality, but he manages to dismiss it quickly enough from his thoughts.)]
Ah? Okay, here.
[Reaching over he steals the spoon for one more bite, offering it back to Yamato once he has. The other definitely has a bigger appetite than Horikawa anyway, so he gives a thoughtful hum instead.]
Well, we may not be very familiar with it right now, but it could be nice to celebrate it somehow. Is there anything you'd like to do Yasukun?
[As long as it's being responsible and he's not gonna suggest drinking and Actual dropping of proprieties it's fine. It's fine.]
[ Leave it to Yamato to find something for them to do on a day he doesn't know much of, they could always make chocolates or play something but this holiday is to enjoy each other together. With the ice cream given back to him and he gets a big spoonful, though he has to be careful of how much he eats - he wants Horikawa to enjoy it as well - Yamato looks up at him with a thought and decides to voice it. ]
I've never really given it much thought but at the Arcade.. have you looked at those machines? They seem to be rather fun from what I've seen others do at them, would you want to try that out?
[ A question presented to the Mer that only he can confirm. From Yamato's point of view, he thinks that spending time in the Arcade wouldn't be bad. They'd be around their God but also, they'll be with each other. It could also be a kind gesture towards their God as well. ]
How does that sound unless you have something else in mind?
[They spent how long in the arcade during the mountain, and yet neither of them had thought to thoroughly investigate huh? Nevertheless Horikawa seems pleased at the prospect. It makes sense to want to know what's there anyway, and he has to admit that some of the bright lights and vibrant colors (though perhaps faded compared to modern machines) are pretty appealing. There's a glance left, and right, walking down the street before he indicates a shop to their left that appears to be closed, looking back down to Yamato expectantly.]
How about over there? It doesn't look like it'd bother anybody.
[The card, he means; there aren't too many people in Bavan who seem pleased at the prospect of their home or workplace being used as the portal to a God's domain. (Which is, Horikawa reasons, only because they must not know enough about the Fourth.) That does make this location pretty ideal though, and just to be polite:]
Do you want to finish the ice cream first?
[God knows Yamato could probably down the rest in two bites.]
[ During Horikawa's whole realization on where to use the card, Yamato has already turned the bowl up in order to swallow down the rest of the ice cream. His tongue licks away what's left on the edge of his mouth and a satisfied exhale showing that he's ate it all. Whenever the mer turns back to Yamato, he'll see that the male is already handing back the bowl during his voicing of if he wanted to finish the ice cream. ]
I already did.
[ There's a smile on his features as he starts making his way towards the door, his tails dragging against the ground and a hand raises to point at where Horikawa can swipe. ] Do you have your card on you? I seem to have left mine at home. [ It is shiny so he couldn't help but sit it nicely in his nest. ] I wonder.. [ Staring at the bowl, is it one of those bowls that can be eaten? He is contemplating it, he is still kind of hungry but he turns his head to make sure that Horikawa is walking towards the door. ]
[God knew Yamato could eat that in two bites........ Horikawa, on the other hand, is a little surprised since he didn't expect such a thing to be so literal. There's a bit of a grin offered up, accompanied by a laugh, but he shakes his head anyway, reaching into his pocket to show the iridescent card is on his person. To be honest, he's surprised that Yamato doesn't have it, shiny or not, being the more dedicated of the two.]
Hold onto that, we can set it in when we go inside.
[He guesses, indicating the bowl before he closes the last of the distance between themselves and the door, swiping his card and moving to open it. Except.... It doesn't... open...
Horikawa looks at it, puzzled for a moment, and remembers the earlier mishaps from last month.]
[ Dedication at it's finest when Yamato knows Horikawa will carry his own and the fact that it looks so nice in his nest. It's rather hard to take away something so beautiful from it and he's sometimes surprised that the Mer hasn't placed his own card in the pond. Without anything to deter his attention, he's waiting for the door to open but with the one single swipe and it doesn't open, a brow quickly raises. ]
Is there something wrong? [ Moving closer with curious eyes, he blinks down at the card before glancing up at Horikawa. ] Would you want me to try? [ Though there shouldn't be a second try at all, normally one swipe is all it takes in order to bring the door to open. ]
It didn't work, so that might be a good idea... Here.
[It's really odd that this would continue, but Horikawa hands over the card without a fuss, stepping out of the way rather quickly. He raises a brow at that last comment though, giving a nod of assent as he considers it.]
I don't think it would be, something so trivial, but it's kind of odd, huh?
[But in any case, hopefully it opens up on the next try. Listen, they have plans here?]
[ Yamato will get this done, he will! There's nothing that can stop him from taking the card from Horikawa's hand and taking his own time with a quick swipe to open the door. Sadly, it doesn't budge and the uchigatana is rather shocked by such a thing. Staring at the card in his hand as he flips it over, he's sure that it's the right one but.. with another swipe... the door still doesn't cooperate and there's a blank expression followed on Yamato's features. ]
... It is.. odd..
[ He's dumbfounded as well but maybe one more swipe will do the trick if Horikawa takes the card from his hand. ] Did we do something wrong..?
[Come on, now he's worried. That uncertain tone in his voice is nothing pleasant, even as he takes the card back with some hesitance. He looks to Yamato one last time before swiping the card again, (because, you know, what else are they going to do to fix this mysterious problem in their magic,) and with it finally seems to click. In an instant the door is opened to reveal the arcade that is becoming so increasingly familiar ー his shoulders slacken somewhat, and the relief that runs through Horikawa is probably plainly visible.]
Ah, there it is..! That was strange, don't you think so Yasusada-kun? Mm, I wonder why...
[ As much as Yamato cares for the Fourth God, there's a sign of worry in his eyes as he finally watches the door open. Pointed claws run against the side of the door as if wondering what had been denying them access but he's relieved. With a sigh passing by his lips as he looks towards Horikawa without a bit of stress anymore, how quickly he can brush that off. ]
Yes.. It is very odd.. [ Had they done something? Slowly removing his talons away from the door as he looks forward, peeking inside to make sure that the gateway is to their destination. ] At least, it still takes us to the right place.. but then why did it..
